PM2015: ATM FA 2-2 Sarawak FA

The Crocs failed to secure their own luck in the Malaysia Cup tonight after they only managed a draw with ATM FA at Paroi.

Playing in front of a near empty stadium, the Crocs were careful with their play as both teams navigated the slippery pitch with much care.

Patrick Gerthardt made the visiting Crocs pull ahead in the 16th minute but the Crocs allowed Abdelafees to equalize 20 soon after.

After the breather, the Crocs almost leaked a goal but Adnan’s shot on goal was stopped by the goal post to keep the score still tied at 1-1.

Ryan finally found the back of the net when Billy Mehmet opened him a cross which he finished off brilliantly.

The joy of the lead was however short lived as Jerry Palacios soon equalized for the home side to peg both teams at two goals each.

Sarawak made some changes to improve their attacks by bringing in energetic Tommy Mawat for tired Ashri Chuchu.

The move provided wonders when the Crocs looked more dangerous in ATM’s halve.

Ryan Griffith almost scored a goal when he was one-on-one with the goalkeeper Mohamad Hafizuddin Azuhar, but Hafizuddin was quick to smoother the ball off Ryan’s feet before the Australian could do anything.

Billy Mehmet soon opened a scoring chance to Tommy, but Tomy ballooned the effort high and wide.

A corner kick by Ivan Fatic also almost swing in the goal, but it was just whiskers off target.

ATM tried to fight back through a dangerous in-swinger free kick from Mario Karlović, but his shot missed the target by an inch.

Both team from then on traded attacks, but the score of 2-2 remained until the final whistle. The draw meant that the Crocs will need to wait until JDT faces Perak tomorrow to know if they would advance to the Quarter Finals of the Malaysia Cup.
