Sarawak face an easy task taking UiTM Selangor FC which they have defeated at home in the first round of the Premier League.
With Guy Bwele still suspended, the mammoth task to help the Crocs rest on exciting prospect Muamer Salibasic. Another player, Junior Eldstal may also be played with Salibasic as the mixed-blooded player has yet to start this season.
Nonetheless, Sarawak’s biggest obstacle in winning remains their own attitude in handling easy matches like this, in which they tend to drop points due to overconfidence and complacency when taking their varsity opponents.
After the previous meeting, UiTM FC has indeed matured, and this is proven by the few matches they have won in the league.
Sarawak on the other hand is still wounded after the 2-0 defeat to Kelantan at home, and is setting their eyes on climbing from their current second place to the top of the league, hence enabling the team return to the Super League with great glory.
The likes of Joseph Kallang Tie, Azizan Baba and captain Mafry Ballang is yet again expected to be fielded in the midfield, while Robert Alberts may be tempted to put both Zamri Morshidi and Bobby Gonzalez up front.
The Crocs boast the best defense in the Premier League, and Alberts is expected to field Saiful Amar Sudar between the post, with Ronny Harun, Hairol Mokhtar and Ramesh Lai playing defense.
Sarawak can run UiTM FC down in this game, but the varsity boys, which clearly have age at their side, is expected to play their hearts out to prove that they can beat a top premier league side like Sarawak.
