The new logo for the Malaysian National football team, known as Harimau Malaysia, would be unveiled on Malaysia Day.
The announcement was made by Football Association Malaysia (FAM) General Secretary, Dato’ Hj Hamidin Hj Mohd Amin at a press conference today.
Five logos have been shortlisted by FAM to be the new symbol of the renamed national football team as seen below.
Hamidin also announced that the ‘national team’, coached by Ong Kim Swee would play a friendly charity match with Dugong All Stars at Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi on the same day, at 5PM.
The national team would consist of current and former Malaysian players, with some football veterans also joining in the fun.
