Penang FA secures Brent Griffiths for Asian import quota

Brent Griffiths, a former Central Coast Mariners defender has signed with Malaysian Super League side Penang FA under the Asian foreign player quota.

The 25-year old defender has been without a club since his release from the Mariners at the end of the 2014/15 A-League season.

Brent grew up in Western Australia, and was a junior with Blackburn Rovers in Australia.

The centre-back made his A-League debut for Perth Glory in 2010 and has also had stints with Wellington Phoenix and National Premier League Victorian club Heidelberg United.

Brent is expected to bolster the defenses of Penang FA this coming 2016 as the team better known as the Panthers return to the elusive Malaysia Super League.
