Harimau Muda coach Ong Kim Swee (OKS) has named Sarawak young defensive midfielder Junior Eldstal for Malaysia’s up-coming fixtures at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia, from July 6-17.
The 21 year old is expected to join the rest of the Malaysian young squad this coming June 21st, making him immediately unavailable for two crucial matches which the Crocs are scheduled to play against Kuala Lumpur and Sabah.
Apart from Junior Eldstal, the likes of K. Rueben (Armed Forces), Mohd Zubir Azmi (Terengganu), K. Prabhakaran (Sime Darby) Nik Shahrul Azim Abdul Halim (Kelantan), Mohd Nazri Ahmad (Johor Darul Takzim), Nazirul Naim Che Hashimand (Ryukyu FC) and S. Sivanesan (Negri Sembilan) will also join OKS’s squad in Kazan.
Malaysia, placed in Group C of the tournament with the likes of Britain, Italy and Algeria is expected to improve their standings in the games as they prepare to defend the gold medal at the SEA Games.
