Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts is staying with the Crocs for the 2014 Super League season. The news was confirmed by Datu Sudarsono in a press statement by the Football Association of Sarawak last Friday.
According to the statement, both FAS and Robert have come to an contractual agreement, hence denying speculations that Robert is on the verge of taking charge of any other team in Malaysia, including Harimau Malaya.
The statement also said that FAS felt that Sarawak’s good run in the 2013 season much attributed to the coach, and they hoped that retaining Alberts would also lead something even greater in the coming season.
Sudarsono also said that he hoped Sarawak fans would received the news happily, and would continue to strive to support the Crocs.
Sarawak currently occupies top spot in Group D of the Malaysia Cup and look good to enter the quarter finals of the competition. The Crocs were previously crowned champions after being undefeated in the Premier League.
