The New Sarawak Tribune today reported that Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts is anxious to get influential Muamer Salibasic back on his feet.
According to Robert, the current Sarawak team is built around Muamer, and that the Bosnian “is the only player who can play that role in holding the ball in the middle of the field and bring forward the attacking play”.
Robert was also quoted as saying that Muamer is currently suffering from a torn ligament, and that injury will take three weeks to heal, not including the time that Muamer needs to get himself match fit after healing from the injury, hence prolonging his injury time beyond a month. This means that Muamer would not feature against T-Team, Lions XII, Pahang and Selangor.
The report by New Sarawak Tribune further increases speculation that the Crocs may be set to release Muamer, although word on social media sites have suggested that Robert is likely to hold onto Muamer until he is fit, or until he finds someone much better.
Sarawak play against T-Team this Saturday away from home.
