Both Sarawak FA import players, Muamer Salibasic and Rian Firmansyah have not been listed in the team playing against Kelantan FA tonight.
The import duo’s absence, especially Salibasic will likely become a massive question among football fans as he is seen as an important part of the team.
Salibasic before this had not started regularly for Sarawak, and was said to be unfit by ‘head coach’ Denny Da’ail when the Bosnian went back to his home town a couple of weeks ago.
Salibasic’s absence this time around however starts rumours among fans that the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) is eyeing to offload him.
The rumours had already begun when FAS General Secretary Jeffry Lana had hinted that the association is keen to replace two import players if MFL agrees to lift the transfer ban imposed on them.
Jeffry didn’t name the players but Salibasic’s absence in Sarawak’s team list today does spark concerns that Salibasic will be one of those cut loose.
Rian on the other hand is likely to get the boot as the Indonesian had not been a regular for Sarawak despite the many praises said about his talent during the early season by the management.
With Sarawak now struggling in the Liga Premier, the next course of action by FAS will be important to either save or sink Sarawak this season.
