MSL: Sarawak FA 2-3 PDRM FA [UPDATED]

The Crocs almost secured themselves a vital win tonight but poor corner defending at the last ten minutes saw their 2-1 lead fizzle out into a defeat, putting them still winless in seven Super League games to date.

The Crocs started the game cautious with both teams struggling to find their footing in the game. However, Ryan Griffith tried to break the deadlock in the 16th minute but his shot ongoal went higher than it needed.

In the 20th minute, the home side were shocked by a fast counter attack by PDRM when Ahmed Ezrie nicely slotted in a wonderful pass from Mohamadou Sumareh.

Sarawak pressed harder for the equalizer, but Saiful Amar Sudar was hardly troubled with the Crocs showing no teeth in the penalty box.

Sarawak was later forced to make a change in goalkeeping after Iqbal Suhaimi complained of an injury, with veteran goalkeeper Aidil Mohamed called to guard Sarawak’s goal.

After the breather, the Crocs went offensive to find the equalizer and their efforts were handsomely rewarded when Joseph Kalang ensured a mix-up in fron of the goal hit the back of the net with his second shot.

The Crocs doubled their effort but Billy Mehmet was too slow to touch in a nicely played cross by Joseph Kalang in the 61st minute, with another chance also going begging following a good cross by Ryan.

Joseph then looked like he was assured his second goal but his bycicle kick in the penalty box was saved by Saiful Amar Sudar, the PDRM goalkeeper.

Sarawak finally took the lead in the game when Ryan Griffith pounced a lovely cross by Joseph Kalang, delighting some 3,000 fans.

However, the joy of leading the game soon left the Crocs camp when PDRM pegged the Crocs through a corner setpiece which saw Dramane head in the ball past Aidil.

With the game close to a draw, Mohd Afif scored the winning goal for PDRM in the 89th minute, also through a corner set-peiece, ensuring the Crocs obtain nothing more than bruises and yellow cards from their second last home game.
