Sarawak have themselves to blame after they failed to pick up any points last night. The Crocs played without urgency in the first half of the game and allowed Pahang countless chances with defenders guilty of ball watching.
The game however started with much promise with both sides playing end to end football in the first half. Pahang showed they would like to win the league this season with Matias Conti teasing Muhd Iqbal by a header which was denied by the post.
Ashri Chuchu replied for Sarawak with a gallant effort through a difficult angle, but his shot was punched out by Pahang goalkeeper Khairul Azhan Khalid.
From then on, the Crocs seemed to have lost focus with wild passes and poor ball control being a constant display.
The slowdown among Sarawak players allowed Pahang to inch closer to scoring with Zesh Rehman finally being able to break the deadlock through a powerful shot to put the home side ahead in the game.
After the breather, the Crocs played with more urgency and displayed better team work.
The new found spirit paid off when Billy Mehmet opened the ball to Joseph Kalang who made no mistake to swing in a beautiful goal to put the score back level.
Pahang however regained their lead six minutes later when Dickson Nwakaeme’s individual effort saw him get himself on the score sheet in the 69th minute.
Dickson continued to terrorize the Sarawakian defence with his mesmerizing dribbling and ball control ability and Sarawak’s inability to contain him in the 78th minute saw Dickson push the ball to an open Mohd Azamuddin Md Akil who made no mistake to finish it off for Pahang to lead 3-1.
Pahang continued pressing for more goals, but J Partiban’s high and wide attempt on goal in the final minute was a complete summary of Sarawak’s poor performance in the game which ended with the Crocs winless for their fifth game in the Super League.
