The Crocs continue their winless streak after they failed to hold on their one goal lead in the 41st minute at Stadium Selayang courtesy of Billy Mehmet. Sime Darby FC equalized 15 minutes before full time to put the door to relegation still very much open for both teams.
Sarawak interim head coach Fuad Grbersic played his strongest side in the game with two changes made to the team which lost to PDRM over the weekend. Dzulazlan Ibrahim replacing Patrick Gerthardt who is suspended in midfield, and Fadzley Rahim replacing Iqbal Suhaimi between the post.
Both sides played the game cautiously with the Crocs and Sime Darby trying to keep possesion as much as they could.
Sarawak tried to move forward but with most crosses in the box going aimlessly, the score remained level until the 41st minute.
In the 41st minute, Dzulazlan’s low cross into the box was finished off by Billy who made no mistake to push it into the goal, beating Kamarul Effandi Abdul Rahim.
After the breather, both teams continued their coutious approach in the game with Ryan Griffith teasing Kamarul with powerful long range shots which failed to change the score line.
Sime Darby however made their chance count whn Marko Perovic was allowed enough room to easily blast home a goal for the home side, pegging the game at 1-1.
Fuad tried to make changes to his line up with the clock moving closer to full time, but the inclusion of Shreen Tambi, Mazwandi Zakeria and Sabri Sahar failed to change the result.
Sarawak play ATM next this Saturday, in another important relegation zone battle.
