[M’sia Cup Preview] Kedah FA vs Sarawak FA

Kedah would be excited to improve their chances in the Malaysia Cup after an unexpected win in Kuching, and the Crocs are eager to revenge the defeat last weekend.

This electrifying encounter would most probably see Robert Alberts listing his best eleven for the task with Sani Annuar Kamsani probably the first person dropped from his inconsistent side tonight. Such move would pave way fro Fazley Rahim to return to the squad with the defense line of Sarawak most probably retaining the likes of Gabor Gyepes, Ronny Harun, Ramesh Lai and Hairol Mokhtar.

Sarawak’s weak midfield was previously made better with Mohd Lot, and Robert is expected to retain the local import ahead of the likes of Sharol Saperi. Rashid Aya might however lose his place to Joseph Kalang with Robert most likely to shift the toothless Joseph to his favourite position at the right, with Rashid partnering Ryan Griffith up-front.

Junior Eldstal will be retained as a defensive midfield, and S Chanturu will be played at his favourite position on the left wing.

Kedah on the other hand are expected to retain their winning selection as the home side hopes that the crowd will back them up for a win.

With both teams already earning three points in the Malaysia Cup Group C, and Perak defeated by Terengganu last weekend, the odds are now open to anyone to quality to the next round.

Unfortunately for both Kedah and Sarawak, a defeat tonight would spell a realistic end to their Malaysia Cup Campaign, especially if either Terengganu or Perak win in the other fixture played in Stadium Ipoh.

That said, we expect this to be a cracker with both teams going all out for the win.
