MFL reschedules 3 Sarawak FA matches

The Malaysia Football League (MFL) has decided to reschedule three matches involving Sarawak FA.

According to a statement by the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS), match 41 between JDT II and Sarawak has been moved to Stadium Tan Sri Hj Hassan Yunos Larkin due to safety reasons related to the chemical spill within Pasir Gudang area.

The original venue was in Pasir Gudang. The fixture involved does not change the date of the match and kick off time which is at 9PM on the 30th of March 2019.

Another two amendments involve teams unable to play their Liga Premier matches at night. They involve match 55 and 79.

In match 55 of the Liga Premier, Sarawak’s away fixture against UiTM FC would be moved to the month of Ramadan on 17 – 18 May 2019, with the match played at 10PM at Stadium UiTM Shah Alam. The original schedule was to be played in April 2019.

Match 71 sees the home game between Sarawak and UiTM FC also rescheduled and brought forward. Infographics released by FAS show that the match was made earlier, now scheduled to 19 – 21 April instead of 17 – 18 May innitially.

According to the inforgraphics, the reschedule meant that Sarawak would play their 71st fixture in the Liga Premier this season during the day as the match is played at 4:15PM at Stadium Negeri.
