Machan FC president, Azizi Fauzi has resigned from his post at Machan FC.
According to his brief statement on his personal facebook, the Azizi, who use the name Azizi Didi, said he takes full responsibility over Machan’s failure to continue their Liga A1 journey and therefore is tendering his resignation.
He also said that he thanks everyone for their support all this while.
Machan FC in the past few days decided to withdraw from the Liga Malaysia’s semi-pro league after they fell into financial issues surrounding flight ticket purchase.
The club which is now based in Sibu, complained that flight ticket prices had balooned so high that they could no longer afford playing their away matches in West Malaysia.
To reduce their cost, the club had initiated talks with the Amateur Football League (AFL) to play all their remaining away matches in one stretch, but later came out to announceExpensive flights forcing Machan FC to exit Liga A1 Semi Pro Malaysia the withdrawal of the club from the Liga A1 Semi-Pro MBSB Bank.
No official statement from Machan had been recorded or noticed at the time this article was written.
