It looks like Astro Arena’s Dayang Zainatull tweet about Junior Eldstal making Ong Kim Swee’s under-23 squad may just be more than rumours after several newspapers reported that Ong Kim Swee is indeed monitoring the progress of the 21 year old.
Reports by Berita Harian say that the head coach of Harimau Muda (Malaysia under-23 football team) is keen to give Junior a test at the coming World University Games in Kazan, before deciding if the tall player would feature in his SEA Games squad.
The paper also reported that Kim Swee admitted having favorable reports on the new Sarawak defensive midfielder, but the inclusion of Junior into Sarawak’s squad after the April transfer window has given him more light on the players ability.
Kim Swee also said that a few other players are also under his radar to be included into his squad which aims to retain the gold medal for football at the SEA Games.
