Kedah FA inched closer to the Malaysia Cup finals after they took home the important away goal advantage in the Malaysia Cup semi-finals last night at Selayang Stadium.
In the game which ended in a stalemate, Felda United opened the scoreline through Thiago Augusto Fernandes in the 14th minute. Kedah replied through midfielder Sandro da Silva Mendonça in the 38th minute, before Thiago again put his side ahead ten minutes after the break.
Barely able to celebrate, Nigerian born Chidi Edeh scored for Kedah FA to ensure the coming second leg at Darul Aman Stadium would be a mouth watering encounter.
In another match, defending Malaysia Cup champion Pahang FA held Selangor FA to a scoreless draw on homeground, indirectly putting Selangor’s mission for their 33rd Malaysia Cup in jeopardy as they can’t afford to allow Pahang to score in the return leg which is to be played this Saturday.
