Junior Eldstal has been called to join the Harimau Muda A squad coached by Ong Kim Swee for the coming Pesta Bola Merdeka tournament.
The young 21-year old Sarawak midfielder was previously called by Kim Swee at the end of the Premier League season, but was dropped after his services was still needed for Sarawak.
Harimau Muda coach, K Rajagopal then called Junior to his squad for a few friendly matches after the end of the league season, but the tall midfielder was however asked to play as a defender, something Junior admitted to being his first.
At some point, it seems that Junior would never play for Kim Swee ever again after K Rajagopal refused to release several players from his national side to play for the under-23 squad which Kim Swee coached.
Nonetheless, Rajagopal finally gave in, and hence Juniors second selection into the Harimau Muda team.
Junior will join other Harimau Muda A players, with the likes of Nasir Basharuddin (Perak), S Sivanesan (N. Sembilan), Nik Mohd Shahrul Azim (Kelantan), Zubir Mohd Azmi (Terengganu), Reuben Tayaparan (ATM), Nazmi Faiz (PKNS) and Wan Zack haikal (FC Ryukyu).
