JDT wins Malaysian Charity Shield 2015

The Southern Tigers rans over Pahang FA at their renovated fortress tonight with some superb display of football.

Playing in front of a confident home capacity crowd, Johor Darul Ta’zim outplayed Pahang at every corner, leaving Pahang with long range shots which were easy to be saved by JDT goalkeeper Farizal Marlias.

JDT came hungry for the first offered silverware of the season as they knocked the post once before Marcos Antonio headed in a corner from Safiq Rahim.

The second half saw JDT continue their control and rampage in the game and hot shot Luciano Figueroa basically ended Pahang’s fight for the Charity Shield with an exquisite strike into the net in the 58-th minute.

Pahang tried to fight back, but they simply were not able to play against the fluid JDT side which went on to be crowned the deserved winners of the first cup in the 2015 Malaysian League season.

The match also sees JDT being awarded the full three points in the Malaysia Super League.
