Sarawak’s yet to be registered foreign player Ryan Griffith would don the number 29 for Sarawak.
The news was shared to us by a few local fans whom noticed Ryan’s jersey being printed at a local sports store in Kuching, which is also the sole distributor and seller of Sarawak’s official kit.
The news, although unofficial, means that the number 20, which was used by Alireza Abbasfard would be vacant for the taking.
Our search online reveals that Ryan traditionally wears the number 23, but since the number is already taken by S Chanturu, he might have opted to go for the number 29 instead.
High expectations are weighing on Ryan’s shoulders as the former-Australian international is expected to make immediate impact upon the conclusion of his signing this coming 23rd March, which is when the April transfer window opens.
