While it is no secret that Sarawak will have a new logo when it becomes a private club, many are still questioning which animal should be the main feature of the logo.
It is obvious however that the new logo will feature a Crocodile as a representation of the team, if the logo design contest by Lea Sports Centre (LSC) was to be used as an indication. However, many fans of Sarawak football feel that Sarawak should be represented by their state symbol, which is the Hornbill.
SarawakCrocs.com made a simple poll over twitter recently and it was revealed that fans are generally divided over which they would prefer to be the main feature of the new Sarawak FA crest.
The Crocodile earned 54 percent of 130 votes which were cast, while the rest opted for a hornbill. Many of those choosing the crocodile wanted the new logo to look fierce.
Though the poll might not reflect all the fans, the 130 voters in the poll can only vote once, and each vote is final. This therefore makes the poll a credible source for those concerned to re-look into how they would plan the new logo.
