FAM deny Aseh’s statement, claims media misunderstood

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has issued a statement saying that the Chairman of their Integrity Comittee Tan Sri Aseh Che Mat did not accuse Sarawak of taking bribes.

According to the statement, the media was faulted for the issue, as they misunderstood the statement by Aseh.

The statement further clarified that the issue of Sarawak players taking bribes was not even mentioned in the eleventh meeting of the committee.

Fans of Sarawak however are certain that Aseh made such statement, with some groups already posting up the video of his Q and A session online, with many also accusing Malay daily Harian Metro for misleading the public.
