The Indonesian club side Persib Bandung has reported that the friendly game arranged with Sarawak FA is off due to the absence of a police permit.
According to Persib’s official website, coach Djadjang Nurdjaman of Persib confirmed the unfortunate news, but added that they would still be playing other teams for a friendly.
Sarawak, which was suppose to fly to Indonesia this coming 17 July was expected to meet the Persib at Siliwangi Stadium, with the Indonesian side said to be very eager to play the Crocs as well. In fact, it was reported also that the Djadjang was looking forward to a win against the East Malaysian side.
Both teams were scheduled to meet on 20th July with Robert Alberts looking to ensure his side is ready for the coming Malaysia Cup.
So far, there has not been any formal response from FAS in regards to the news, but fans who picked up the news on our Facebook page were quick to react negatively on the news with some suggesting the Crocs to travel to Australia for their friendly games instead.
This is not the first time Sarawak’s tour in Indonesia hit a snag after the Crocs were stood-up by Arema during their pre-season this year.
