Footie social media site Kaki Bola today revealed that the President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim had asked the CEO of Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) to help teams having problems with their club licensing application.
The statement, though not confirmed, is believed to have been uttered by the Crown Prince during a meeting, in which the contents were not made known to the public until it was released by Kaki Bola.
Several teams in Malaysia’s Liga Super are in risk of being unable to play in the top league after their latest appeal for a club license was rejected by the football club licensing board.
According to an earlier report, teama that fail to obtain the club license would have until 19 October to file another appeal.
The teams in mention are Sarawak FA, Melaka United, Felda United and Kelantan FA.
