The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has hired Chiew Chun Yon as the new futsal coach for the national football team.
The decision to appoint Chun Yong was made by FAM on the 15 August.
His appointment takes effect immediately, and Chun Yong would be taking over from out going Maecelo Serpa, who will leave the national futsal team in December.
Chun Yong was the former national women’s futsal coach, and his first role with the men’s futsal team is to identify 20 players for the AFF Futsal Tournament in October.
He is well known in the futsal world, and was very prominent when he was leading the women’s futsal team.
