Both Kuching City and Sabah FC reserve teams failed to shine during their respective weekday matches as they came home empty handed after the full 90 minutes.
Kuching City’s reserve team failed to capitalize on their home advantage after they were defeated by KDN FC at Stadium Negeri today.
KDN scored as early as the second minute of play to secure the solitary goal that gave them the full three points with the Cats unable to break through the tight defences of KDN until the final whistle.
The defeat put Kuching City reserves in 10th of the league with only four points from five match games.
Sabah FC II on the other hand were trashed 6 – 0 by Selangor FC reserves during their visit to Stadium UiTM.
The defeat further anchors the Rhinos to the bottom of the Liga MFL with no points to show after five league games.
The standing of the Piala MFL can be seen below.
Although the league is still in its early stages, the teams in the upper end of the league is starting to distance themselves from the lower halve, a situation which should be looked with great concern by both Sabah FC II and Kuching City FC, if they wish to challenge for the title.
