The ending of the JDT – Sarawak game saw some intense scenes with Billy Mehmet seen furious with one of the match officials after the game.
Many thought it was due to the poor refereeing during the game, but Billy made it clear through a tweet right after the game that his outburst at the end of the match was due to the linesman uttering vulgar words towards him.
The tweet has gone viral on social media and fans are backing Billy in the masses.
A similar case also happened to Joseph Kalang a few months back, but it is believed that like this current case, nothing would materialize from any formal complaint with the accused denying he said such word.
With that said, shall there be any truth in Billy’s claim, it is indeed sad that our football officials are in poor conduct, although similar sentiment could also be said for the emotional display of Billy at the end of the game.
Sarawak lost in the game against JDT, and saw Ivan Fatic receiving his marching orders after he earned a second yellow card for showing dissent towards the referee.
