KUCHING: Sarawak’s new English-Malaysian player Junior Eld’stal will get his first break in the next away match against Pahang UiTM tomorrow in the absence of two midfielders Guy Bwele and Shahrol Saperi.Guy, who did not play in the last match against Perlis, is out on a two-match suspension due to six yellow cards and will sit out the next match as well.
Sarawak coach Robert Alberts said it will be a good time for Junior to stamp his mark by starting in the match instead of playing substitute on the bench. In the last two matches against Kelantan in the FA Cup and against Perlis all played at home, he only came in towards the end of the match.“Junior will get the chance to play in the next match against UiTM and this will be the opportunity for him to start the match in the absence of Guy (Bwele) and Shahrol (Saperi).“I think he is ready now as his match fitness and his positioning areok as well as his distribution.“Also he will come in handy with his height in set-pieces,” said Alberts.
Apart from the two new foreign additions, the return and availability of Zamri Morshidi also gives Alberts the extra option as the former PKNS player is also getting his fitness back and useful to play him on the wings in the absence of injured wide players like Ashri Chuchu, Dzulazlan Ibrahim and Azizan Saperi.Bosnian Silabasic, playing his first match wowed the home crowds in the last match against Perlis in the absence of the other influential player Bwele and Alberts is relishing at the prospect of playing them together which will likely be in the KL SPA Putrajaya FC match at home.
