Sarawak’s promising striker cum winger may not be able to play this season after all as Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts was reported by Utusan Sarawak as saying that he is doubtful the player can fully be fit for the Malaysia Cup.
The player from Lawas was injured throughout Sarawak’s invincible season of 2013, and was expected to make a return in the Malaysia Cup.
However, Alberts has since shown doubts over the players fitness, and Ashri himself somewhat confirmed that he may not feature in the team this season.
The news has come as a blow for Sarawak fans whom were hoping to see their perfect line-up with Ashri playing alongside Joseph Kallang Tie, Guy Bwele, Muamer Salibasic and Bobby Gonzales.
