Alberts’ dream team?

KUCHING:Sarawak coach Robert Alberts will try his best first-eleven as he had for the first time a full squad to tinker with.

He may even try out a new formation against KL SPA tomorrow as he is looking beyond the next two matches to prepare him for the cruncher against Sime Darby at home on May 10.

After facing SPA whom they drew 1-1 in the first away clash, Sarawak will meet Pos Malaysia away three days later agains whom Sarawak should have no problem in getting the full points.

In their last match against Pahang UiTM, in the 5-3 win Sarawak played without their two foreign defenders with Guy Bwele suspended while Bosnian new signing Muamer Silabasic only played for a few minutes in the match.

Shahrol Saperi who usually linked up with Bwele in midfield was also out on suspension but both he and the Cameroonian talismanic player will be back for tomorrow’s match.

“I will have a full squad to pick from and will try out a new formation as I had several options including Guy (Bwele), Muamer (Silabasic), Shah ( Shahrol Saperi) available.

“We must play our best line-up in the next two games and must not falter as we had lost four certain points in two matches against SPA and Sabah where we should have won.

“The dropped points are precious points which will make or break our campaign this year as we want to climb to the top of the league table and become champions.

“I consider we will face a tough match against PDRM immediately after our match against Sime Darby and it’s our priority first to win against SPA at home, Pos Malaysia away before facing off with the league leaders.

“On Friday, we will look at our best formation and now that we have our best players available, I look forward to the challenges ahead,” said Alberts.

The Dutch coach may not know what his final line-up will be until the final training session but he admitted he is smacking his lips at the prospects of seeing his two best foreign players in Bwele and Muamer combined in midfield and then Junior could come in at the last few minutes of the game where he could use his aerial power.

Upfront, he will have top scorer with 10 league goals Bobby Gonzalez leading the line in attack with Azizan Baba on the left and Joseph Kalang on the right.

Zamri, who is looking sharp with his goal in the last game, is also pushing for at least a few minutes to play in the game as he may have to consign himself to the fact that he is in unfamiliar situation sitting on the bench as he faces an overcrowded Sarawak line-up for the first time in both the forward and midfield positions.
