T-Team signs new coach and announces new imports

Premier League side T-Team has announced Indonesian Rahmad Darmawan as their new coach for the coming 2016 season replacing Tomislav Steinbruckner.

The experienced 49 year old coach signed for a year with the Titans, and would be arriving today to start molding his new side in preparation for the 2016 Super League play off which is scheduled against relegated Super League side ATM FA.

Born in Metro Indonesia, Rahmad is no stranger to the Malaysian league, having played his trade as a player with ATM FA in 1992.

The former Indonesian head coach has howver never coached in Malaysia, making this his first stint in the country.

Aside from the appointment of Rahmad, T-Team has also decided to sign Malain midfielder Makan Konate and former West Ham striker Abdoulaye Youssouf Maïga.

Bamako born Konate transfers from Indonesian side Persib Bandung and plays well as a creative attacking midfieder. With Persib Bandung, Konate scored 14 goals from 30 appearances.

Konate’s countrymate Maiga also plays his trade in the Indonesian football league, representing Sriwijaya since 2014. The 26-year old lanky defender is still in the Mali national team and had stints in Algeria as well.

Both Konate and Maiga are expected to start when T-Team face of with ATM this coming 30 January for the last spot in the Malaysia 2016 Super League.
